Welcome to Goodwood Baptist Church. We are glad you’re here.

If you have never attended or it’s been a while since you’ve visited a church, don’t worry  – we won’t bombard you with a ton of questions or make you feel awkward.  We do however, hope that you will find your visit with us both enjoyable and spiritually informative.

Upcoming Events:  

Special Presentation:   Mikhaela Gray-Beerman will be speaking on Friday, Mar.  20 at 7 p.m. about the group she works for, Fight4Freedom.  This organization assists women and men exploited in the sex trade, to find freedom, healing and restoration.  POSTPONED

Programs get underway on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the summer and at 11:00 a.m. (Sept. – June) is our Sunday morning worship service, with Sunday School for high school students and adults  (Sept. – June).   See the ‘GBC Programs’ page for more details regarding the Sunday School curriculum for the various ages.  There will be no Sunday School on Dec. 29.  It will resume Jan. 12/20.

NOTE:  Sermons are NOT recorded; you will not find a link on the website.

The last Sunday of every month (Sept. – June, except May and June), we replace the Sunday School service with a Church family potluck breakfast that begins at 9:30 am and offers a great time of fellowship and good food. If you’re new, just come along; there will be plenty of food.

Bible Study & Prayer Group

All welcome!  There are 2 options:

Every Tuesday – 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. from Sept – June.   Larry Bacon will lead the study in 1 Thessalonians.  For more information contact us at  905-640-3111.  

Thursday morning Bible studies at 10 – 11 a.m. Pastor Kevin Oates will continue his study in the book of Acts. 

Young Adults Bible Study: 

Meetings:  are held at the Pastor’s.  Pastor Oates will be leading the study.   March meetings are TBA.

Christian Women’s Bible Study

(Sept. – early June) with Mrs. Betty Kirk, at her home.  Thursday mornings at 9:30 a.m.  Please contact Betty for details 905-852-2008. 

Kid’s Club (AWANA)

Wednesday evenings – 6:30 – 8:00 p.m., Gr. 1 through 8.  See the ‘GBC Programs’ tab for more details.  (It runs Sept.  – May)   

College and Careers

Bible Study:  7 – 8:30 p.m., Tuesday evenings.  Same dates as Prayer Meeting.


Ladies Fellowship Potluck – the ‘Colossians 3:12’ group

All ladies are invited to join in for a potluck lunch once a month at the church, at 10:30 a.m., to get to know one another better and to encourage each other.  Sept. through June, except for Dec.
